ABOUT ME

My primary interest in architecture is directed towards aspects of architecture and society and creative approaches to sustainability. This has been reflected in my choice of studio projects and forms of personal engagement, as I was eager to explore the positive power architecture has to shape communities, improve life quality and answer some of the modern challenges relating to environment and contemporary living.

My passion for architecture is mixed with interest in art, love for travelling and interacting with people. All these thing are triggers that release my creative thinking and design flair. Since able to grab a pencil, I have been trying to capture the world around me in a sketchbook. During high school, I participated in three years long architecture drawing course. It gave me a

better understanding of spatial relationships and perspective. I am always eager to explore new possibilities and ways of learning. I have been continuously developing my skills through various art and architecture projects I have been a part of.

Joining the University of Dundee as a student of architecture, equipped me with solid understanding of technology, practical and social aspects of design. Through various studio projects I have furthered improved myself as a designer. I have built confidence and enhanced interpersonal skills. Finally, a year long practical experience in architectural practice in Stornoway further progressed my architecture skills, I was often working independently or in close collaboration with the company's direction on various range of projects, residential, commercial and public. I was involved in work at many stages, from initial brief formulation and feasibility studies to completion. I gained a solid understanding of design processes, became acquainted with legislation, office management and marketing.

I strongly believe in architecture’s positive power to improve people’s life, rebuild relationship and establish communities.

My hobbies

Other than drawing, designing and art, I enjoy hiking and nature walks.  I enjoy exploring cities as well as remote, off-trail locations.

Active involvement and support for cultural events and art groups or societies is a source of my personal satisfaction. One of the most successful ones I was part of was the 'Yello' group, an independent students' collaboration. Apart from weekly drawing sessions and peer to peer tutoring,   we have prepared an exhibition promoting the mountain side town in Poland. After few days of creative effort we hung our work in the local cultural hub. I also enjoy another form of art through dance, in particular poi-dancing and swing dancing.
